This position is for the full academic year, open only to enrolled upperclassmen. Freshmen are not eligible to apply for this position.
Expected hours of work per week : 10-15
Work Location & Hours : Center for Student Success : Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Qualifications for Position :
Clear communication skills with supervisors, students, co-workers, and professors.
Administrative skills and organization.
Knowledge of Google Drive, Sheets, Forms, Calendar, and Gmail.
Personable disposition to greet students and staff.
Ability to take initiative to ask questions and complete necessary tasks.
Time management to be able to show up to shifts on time.
Discretion to maintain the privacy of student accommodations.
Expected Duties and Responsibilities :
Help manage the testing center and facilitate testing accommodations by promptly processing emails and scheduling tests with students and professors.
Front desk responsibilities : greet visitors, schedule appointments, proctor tests, and field incoming calls and emails.
Explain services available to students who visit the Center for Student Success.
Print tests and file them under the day when they are to be taken.
Enter Google Forms information into a Google Sheet and onto Google Calendar to schedule tests.
Office miscellaneous tasks, including making coffee, replenishing snacks, washing mugs at the end of each shift, playing music from the iPad, and disinfecting surfaces.
Keep the calendars related to our office on Google Calendar.
Use Google Sheets, Google Drive, Google Forms, and proprietary software.
Promote an environment where students can study and participate in collaborative work.
Return tests to professors in a timely manner either by scanning, hand delivery, or mailbox.
Communicate changes through GroupMe, email, and face-to-face interaction with co-workers and superiors.
