We have an immediate opening for a Full-time Clinical Performance Improvement Supervisor.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Working under general supervision, the CPI Supervisor works in partnership with the site supervisors, Chief of Clinical Performance and Medical and Dental Directors to ensure smooth operations, high-quality patient care, and compliance. This position requires a skilled leader with a strong clinical background, organizational abilities, and a passion for quality and excellence in healthcare. This position performs a variety of patient care, and administrative duties and supports the clinical flow to ensure the efficient operations of the clinic.
The CPI Supervisor helps train clinical support staff, improves clinical workflow, ensures compliance, and develops procedures & training resources to achieve the following aims:
- Provide high-quality patient care
- Maintain standardized organizational clinical protocols/workflows across clinical sites
- Ensure patient safety, uphold clinical compliance, and minimize clinical errors across sites/service lines
- Maximize productivity and improve clinical quality outcomes
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Site supervisors provide day-to-day supervision of the clinical team, while the CPI Supervisor rotates between sites to provide oversight, technical expertise, resources, and training. The CPI Supervisor audits work to identify trends, assess individual proficiency, and identify areas for retraining or process improvement.

- Assist with clinical workflow oversight for Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, Mobile, and ancillary programs.
- Help develop/update clinical protocol & procedures and implement them at the clinic level as well as develop training aids for clinical support staff.
- May participate in the hiring and review process for clinical support staff.
- Participate in the training and onboarding process for newly hired support staff, students, and interns.
- Train & continually re-train clinical support staff on clinical workflows and protocols, helping ensure patient safety, quality care, and organizational outcomes are achieved.
- For assigned program areas, help implement/improve workflows, and other process improvements that maintain a patient-centered model of care, support production goals and follow internal protocols.
- Monthly, or as required, ensure all sites meet clinical compliance requirements.
- Quarterly, assist the quality team with peer reviews, compliance and risk audits, and Quality Improvement activities as needed. Correct errors, provide retraining and propose internal protocol changes as appropriate.
- Serve as a technical expert and go-to resource for assigned program areas.
- Develop and maintain a thorough and deep knowledge of the clinical documentation requirements and workflows of the electronic health record system.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of best practices related to clinical protocols, workflows, patient safety, compliance, and quality.
- When needed, work with site supervisors and clinical leadership to maintain provider and staff coverage to meet operational requirements
Inter-Departmental Collaboration
- Maintain strong working relationships with site supervisors, providers, clinical staff, directors, and chief officers.
- Lead the process of developing internal protocols related to improving clinical workflows, patient safety, compliance, quality improvement, and clinical productivity. Present proposed protocols to the appropriate Chief Officer or Committee for review and approval.
- Lead/participate in training activities and clinical competencies for site supervisors / appropriate clinical staff
- Work with appropriate internal staff or external vendors to resolve clinical issues that arise within the EMR system or implement new clinical support tools.

TECHNOLOGY USED IN THIS POSITON:
Clinical Software, including Athena One, Dentrix Enterprise, MDHHS - Community Health Automated Medicaid Processing System (CHAMPS), AZARA DRVS.
Additional software includes Microsoft Office, internet browser software, Microsoft 365, and other related software.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

- High school graduate
- Education & training in a clinical program (Medical/Dental Assistant, Nursing, Hygiene)
- CPR certified in infants, children, and adults.
- Minimum 2 years – Covenant Clinic experience with a demonstrated history of clinical competence and dedication to improved clinic workflows, patient safety, and quality improvement.
- Experience with use and navigation of EHR.
