**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant II to join our team at Fort Loudoun Primary Care. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a crucial role in providing professional clinical care to patients receiving treatments and examinations in an outpatient setting.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assess patients' general condition and take vital signs and weight.
- Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments, including phlebotomy, injections, and suturing.
- Administer patient medications per provider order and policy.
- Orient, instruct, and train assigned personnel as applicable.
- Provide basic patient care as ordered.
- Ensure test results are received and relayed to patients in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to patients' comfort and privacy by using the AIDET fundamentals of communication.
- Document all interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating providers' advice and instructions.
**Qualifications:**
To be successful as a Medical Assistant II, you should have at least one year of experience as a certified Medical Assistant from a recognized certifying organization. You must also possess American Heart Association BLS certification.
