Position Summary:
Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.

Responsibilities
- Completes nursing history and initiates patient education.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members.
- Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis.
- Problem solves and coordinates unit/patient care assignments, with supervision.
- Introduces new employees/students to unit routines.
- Participates on unit-based committee/serves as council representative.
- Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience:
New graduate within 1st year of orientation.
License Requirement:
Valid Tennessee RN license. CPR required. BLS preferred. Willing to obtain ACLS and PALS within 6 months to 1year.
