Summary:
The Performance Improvement Program Administrator will play a key role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of clinical and operational processes across Covenant HealthCare. This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing various performance improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with our strategic plan, regulatory requirements, and best practices. The administrator will work closely with leadership, staff, and external stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, develop actionable plans, and track progress to optimize patient care and operational performance.
Responsibilities:
The selected individual will:
1. Program Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of performance improvement (PI) initiatives across the health system.
- Lead or support the development, implementation, and monitoring of improvement plans.
- Coordinate and facilitate interdisciplinary performance improvement teams.
- Ensure PI programs align with the health system’s strategic priorities and regulatory standards.
2. Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to clinical and operational performance.
- Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement, develop benchmarks, and track performance outcomes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure timely reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
3. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with department heads, clinical teams, and operational leaders to implement improvement strategies.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical, administrative, and support staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Engage with external agencies, regulatory bodies, and partners to stay updated on industry standards and ensure compliance.
4. Education and Training:
- Develop and deliver training programs to staff on performance improvement methodologies, and quality improvement frameworks.
- Provide ongoing education and coaching to team members on process improvement principles and tools.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify trends, challenges, and barriers to improvement efforts and work with leadership to resolve issues.
- Recommend and implement solutions to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and staff satisfaction.
- Support a culture of accountability and excellence through continuous process evaluations and feedback loops.

Other information:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in healthcare management, nursing, public health, business administration, or a related field required.
· Master’s degree preferred.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in performance improvement, quality improvement, or healthcare administration, with a focus on process optimization.
· Certification in quality improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent preferred.
· Experience with data analysis and performance measurement tools in a healthcare setting.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
· Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
· Proficiency in using performance improvement tools, such as root cause analysis, flowcharting, and statistical analysis software.
· Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS) and healthcare accreditation standards.
