What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Covenant House of NJ?

The Housekeeper maintains the cleanliness of our buildings and maintains a positive attitude at all times. Housekeeper should communicate with others with absolute respect and kindness while ensuring the premises are safe and sanitary.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Clean all assigned areas of covenant house buildings including reception areas, lounges, residential units, restrooms, and facility perimeter this will include vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping.
- Identify appropriate cleaning materials for specific tasks.
- Support the setup and teardown of special events including cleaning of related linens and equipment.
- Deliver great customer service
- Record and report all damage to the Operations Manager
- Cleaning our Atlantic City YEC & ROP Locations
- Carries out other duties as assigned.
- Required to check emails daily
- All other duties assigned by management staff
Applicant must be available to work Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (40 Hours a week)
Experience and Skills:
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
1-2 years of related experience
Ability to perform physical tasks related to the position including lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds
