Job Title – Safety Coordinator
Location – 3540 Portugee Rd, Northern VA (Leesburg, Sterling, Ashburn, or Bristow)
Role Type – Contract to Hire (6 months)
Must-Have Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of safety-related experience (or EMT, nursing, or military background)
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to build rapport and provide constructive feedback.
- Proactive, safety-first mindset.
Responsibilities and Job Details:
- Support crew leadership in developing Job Hazard Analyses and ensuring compliance with OSHA guidelines
- Promote a positive, proactive safety culture on-site through daily engagement and visibility
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards promptly
- Assist in incident investigations, reporting, and developing corrective actions
- Provide safety training and education for on-site teams
- Monitor proper use and availability of PPE across job sites
- Contribute to safety communication efforts, including bulletins and updates
- Participate in emergency response planning and drills
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related data, trainings, and incidents
- Collaborate in safety meetings and committees to address ongoing concerns
- Drive continuous improvement in site safety processes
- Serve as a key point of contact for safety-related support and mentorship on-site.
