About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Recreation Aide to join our team. As a Recreation Aide, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, and implementation of recreational activities for our clients. You will work closely with our Recreation Coordinator to ensure that all activities are safe, engaging, and appropriate for our clients. Your main goal will be to provide a positive and enjoyable experience for our clients, while also promoting physical and mental wellness.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a healthcare setting
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or related field
- Certification as a Recreation Therapist
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia
- Experience leading group activities
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, organizing, and implementation of recreational activities for clients

- Assist in the setup and cleanup of activity areas
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and their families
