PURPOSE
Performs Employee Health related duties working with the Medical Director and senior clinical leadership. Responsible for Employee Health related trainings and guidelines, including the annual OSHA training. Manages the accidental exposures program and employee vaccinations per policy. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manages the TB testing process for new clinic employees during onboarding. Follows through with any abnormal results per policy and maintains clinic employee pre-employment records which includes offering Hepatitis B vaccination per OSHA regulation.
- Manages employee TB post exposure by collecting baseline and follow-up testing working with respective Health Department.
- Manages accidental exposures per OSHA regulations and internal policy.
- Manages all required employee vaccination records per internal policy.
- Manages employee communicable disease exposures per internal protocols.
- Coordinates flu vaccinations for employees at administrative location.
- Performs ergonomic assessments per request and makes recommendations and physical adjustments when possible.
- Maintains vaccination records for 3rd party groups working in the organization.
- Maintains confidential documents of employee health records.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures based on currently accepted infection prevention and control best practices.
- Manages Employee Incident Reports for the
- Collaborates with L&D team on the development and delivery of educational programs and/or tools that relate to infection prevention, control, epidemiology and compliance training i.e., OSHA training.
- Maintains and/or expands knowledge and expertise in the field of infection prevention and control through continuing education and study.
- Works closely with Clinical Quality Group and collaborates with other departments to identify training needs and develops training and documentation specific to clinical workflows, policies and procedures.
- Serves as an Employee Health resource for clinic management and staff.
- Continuously updates knowledge base to stay current on changes and/or updates related to clinical practice roles and responsibilities, practice areas and standards of care.
- Adheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct.
- Regular and dependable attendance.
- Follows the core competencies set forth by the Company, which are available for review on Share Point..

- Attends meetings, participates in workgroups and/or serves on committees as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Required: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred: Previous infection prevention and control experience.
Certificate/License
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the State of Texas. Required to maintain a current nursing license during employment. BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
