Job Posting: Experienced Pain Management Medical Assistant
Position Summary: We seek a dedicated, experienced Pain Management Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in Interventional Pain Management or a similar medical setting. This role requires a professional who can efficiently triage patients, assist in procedure/C-arm rooms, schedule, and track spinal cord stimulator procedures, and manage various administrative tasks, including chart prep and medical records requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Triage: Assess and prioritize patient needs based on clinical urgency.
- Procedure Assistance: Assist in procedure and C-arm rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and prepared.
- Scheduling: Efficiently schedule and track spinal cord stimulator trials and schedule permanent placement in the OR.
- Psych Evaluations: Coordinate and schedule psychological evaluations for patients undergoing spinal cord stimulator procedures.
- Medical Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Responsible for fulfilling medical records requests promptly.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a pain management or similar medical setting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with medical scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is preferred.
