We are currently hiring for a Part-time Housekeeper-Floater (Monday-Friday). Function:
To maintain and clean assigned areas of Covenant Village by ensuring superior housekeeping standards.
Duties/Responsibilities:

- Cleans apartments, cottages, Health Center rooms, common areas, offices, elevators, trash rooms, laundry rooms, stairwells and other community areas as assigned while keeping health and hygiene standards.
- Performs such duties as dusting blinds, furniture, above doors, picture frames, around ceilings; cleaning bathrooms, baseboards, kitchen cabinet doors and sink, appliances, mirrors, windows, electronics, countertops, balconies and entry/balcony doors; sweeping; moping; changing beds; emptying trash; defrosting refrigerators; and any other housekeeping tasks assigned by management.
- Uses supplies and equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
- Ensures good working order of supplies and equipment.
- Keeps janitor closet organized, supplied and clean.
- Monitors the security of Residents’ belongings and safety of the assigned areas by sincerely conducting the regular checks. Reports any found articles, thefts, damage or any housekeeping needs to management.
- Responds to housekeeping needs promptly.
- Attends all In-Service programs and trainings.
- Adheres to the Covenant Village CV CARES Core Values, Mission Statement, policies and procedures.
- Performs all other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
No formal education is required. Prefer high school diploma or GED. Work experience is a plus.
Must be able to communicate clearly, politely and professionally with Residents, staff and guests. Able to read normal print (with or without corrective lenses). Must have a good sense of smell to be able to detect various hazards such as smoke, chemicals or gas. Be physically fit as the job involves a lot of manual labor work. Must be agile, efficient, and able to balance, climb, crouch, pull, push, reach, stand for long periods of time, stoop, lift 30-40 pounds on a consistent basis, perform repetitive movements and climb/maneuver a 2-foot ladder. Able to follow instructions and give attention to detail. Be a fast-paced worker with multi-tasking skills and work well with others.
