The ideal candidate will have at least 5 year of supervisory experience preferably in a Long term/Healthcare environment. The candidate must supervise, train and work directly with security officers. Some Duties Include:
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment and access points; permitting entry.
- Develops and implements a goal-oriented approach to security duties and oversees the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of third-party security staff.
- Prepares and conducts training for new hires and current staff including training on workplace protocol, campus post orders, policy procedure, campus directives, and related safety and security topics.
- Works with Directors for resolution of sensitive situations that may include managing and/or implementing usage of confidential information or documents.
Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM
Knowledge/Abilities:
- Wide-ranging knowledge of security protocol and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking a must.
- Excellent customer service, management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide training on security policies and procedures.
- Ability to work with confidential information.
- Proficient computer skills to include camera and door software programs.
Requirements:
- Certified/Licensed Unarmed Security for VA.
- Five years of experience working as a Security Manager or similar capacity.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
- Ability to speak and hear, vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat.
- No face or inappropriate and/or offensive tattoos.
