We are currently seeking a Striker to fill a full-time position at our Coventry, RI location. We offer both a competitive pay and benefits package.
Responsibilities include:
- Loading of company vehicles in accordance with delivery invoices, which requires lifting and carrying merchandise, lumber, and building materials.
- Ride with the driver to the job site to unload products.
- Treat customers, contractors, and associates in a courteous, considerate, and cooperative manner.
- Adhere to established safety rules and regulations and follow all safety procedures; maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Prepare customer orders by collecting and retrieving merchandise/materials from storage areas in the yard.
- Safely operate a fork lift to load, unload and stock merchandise as necessary.
- Report customer complaints to Yard Foreman/Supervisor.
- Appliance Installation
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- Excellent customer service and inter-personal skills
- Basic math skills Basic reading skills
- Appliance installment experience is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Prior lumber yard experience is helpful
- Prior building materials experience is a plus
- High School Education/GED a plus
