We are seeking a warehouse/yard associate to fill a full-time position at our Coventry, RI location. We offer both a competitive pay and benefits package.
Responsibilities include:
- Loading of company vehicles in accordance with delivery invoices, which requires lifting and carrying merchandise, lumber, and building materials.
- Treat customers, contractors, and associates in a courteous, considerate, and cooperative manner.
- Adhere to established safety rules and regulations and follow all safety procedures; maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Prepare customer orders by collecting and retrieving merchandise/materials from storage areas in the yard.
- Adhere to all approved company policies and procedures.
- Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and stock merchandise as necessary.
- Report customer complaints to the Operations Manager
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Prior lumber yard experience is a plus
- Prior building materials experience is a plus
- High School Education/GED a plus
Schedule
Monday to Friday 7 AM to 5 PM and Saturday 7 AM to 12 PM (subject to change based on volume)
