About the Role:

The Yard Lead / Yard Foreman plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the yard at Coventry Lumber. This position is responsible for ensuring that all materials are organized, accessible, and handled safely, contributing to the overall efficiency of the lumber supply chain. The Yard Lead will coordinate with team members to manage inventory, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, this role involves training and mentoring staff to foster a productive work environment. Ultimately, the Yard Lead is key to maintaining high standards of quality and service, ensuring that customer needs are met promptly and effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a lumber or construction environment.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with inventory management systems.
• Forklift certification or experience operating heavy machinery.
• Knowledge of lumber types and their applications.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily yard operations, including the loading and unloading of materials.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage of lumber and related products.
