The Administrative Assistant/ Front Desk Staff Member is a blended role, who supports our small medical office by performing front desk duties as well as implementing and maintaining efficient administrative systems, procedures, and policies while monitoring and coordinating administrative projects. This role requires the ability to multi-task, manage complex schedules, and provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the office. Key responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling patients, insurance prior authorizations and pre-certifications, managing patient and staff schedules, and offering a wide range of administrative support services. Additionally, the role involves the ability to be flexible to assist all staff members to ensure smooth flow of the office.
Duties
· Greet and check-in patients.
· Check patients out.
· Answer phones, basic triage, schedule appointments, and manage patient records.
· Assist with insurance verification and updating patient information.
· Insurance prior-authorizations and pre-certifications, collecting co-pays, and mail/fax management.
· Maintain supply/ordering of office and medical supplies.
· Coordinate staff schedule and manage coverage when needed.
· Communicate with our billing company as needed
· Manage compliance with providers’ medical staff credentialing with Doylestown Hospital
· Collaborate and support front desk staff, clinical staff, medical records staff and providers.
· Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Skills
· High school diploma or equivalent is required.
· Front Desk Medical office experience required.
· Knowledge of basic Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
· medical terminology.
· Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word.
· Experience with ECW is preferred.
· Ability to communicate effectively, confidently and professionally with patients and team members.
· Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for resolving issues.
· Ability to work in a team environment while demonstrating professionalism and discretion.
· Excellent time management and multitasking skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
