What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Audit Co-Op position at Coverys?
The Internal Audit co-op will provide you with an opportunity to experience the Internal Audit process and methodology at an insurance organization. The Internal Audit co-op will be exposed to most of the Coverys Business Units and gain a basic understanding of the controls for each of them. The role includes internal client interaction and will give you hands on experience of the Internal Audit processes.
The co-op will be part of the Internal Audit team and will assist in the day-to-day operations that include : testing of internal controls, documenting walkthroughs and narratives, and participating in audit meetings. One of the primary responsibilities of the role will be to assist the Internal Audit team in the Model Audit Rule (MAR) testing of internal controls.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support and document walkthroughs and testing of various MAR processes in coordination with the Finance department.
- Support the audit team monitoring of project progress and status.
- Prepare for meetings with clients for the purpose of audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
- Collaborate and work with our Internal Audit Co-sourcing partners
