Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician & Property Assistant ensures the property is well-maintained, safe, and clean for tenants. This role involves maintenance tasks, tenant interactions, and administrative support.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repairs: Quickly address tenant maintenance requests and perform repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances). Diagnose issues and decide on solutions.
- Preventative Maintenance: Regularly inspect the property to prevent issues. Keep building systems and equipment running smoothly.
- Turnover Tasks: Prepare vacant units for new tenants by repairing, painting, and cleaning. Work with contractors for complex tasks.
- Cleaning and Groundskeeping: Keep common areas and exteriors tidy.
- Tenant Communications: Respond to tenant inquiries promptly and professionally. Manage notice distribution.
- Leasing and Tenant Relations: Help show units and answer prospective tenants' questions.
- Administrative Duties: Record maintenance activities and help with the maintenance budget.
- Emergency Response: Available for emergencies outside regular hours and implement emergency procedures as needed.
- Compliance: Ensure maintenance work complies with laws and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience in maintenance or repair work.
- Knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).
- Good communication and time management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
