What We OfferThis position supports the pressure safety hazard analysis, optimization of chemical process pressure safety and emergency relief system design.
Major Responsibilities
Assists in revalidation efforts to review existing emergency relief systems to confirm installed devices are appropriately documented and correctly sized.
Closely collaborates with Senior Pressure Safety Engineer and designs new emergency relief systems.
Assists in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Turnaround (TAR) activities
Supports in solving pressure safety related concerns and problems as discovered through process unit interactions.
Supports Global and Regional pressure safety policy development and execution.
Participates in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) service initiatives and other responsibilities as directed
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in chemical or similar engineering and at least 1 year of experience OR;
Master's degree in chemical or similar engineering
Knowledge and Skills
Understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals (chemical reaction, unit operations, fluid flow, and process control concepts)
Ability to understand process documentation (PFD, P&ID)
Ability to understand, interpret and retain Codes, Standards, and RAGAGEP.
Ability to work under supervision and learn quickly.
Demonstrate leadership and people skills working within teams
Ability to communicate (both written and verbal) effectively at all levels of an organization.
Willingness to travel; < 20%
