Covington Aircraft is a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility specializing in the Pratt & Whiteny Cananda PT6A engine series. Covington is a Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) for Pratt & Whitney Canada servicing aircraft engines all over the world. Our teams are dedicated leaders providing top quality service with the highest integrity.
The Intern will support on-going maintenance projects. In this position, your duties will include providing assistance to engine technicians and operation team members in their related job functions in the following areas: disassembly, assembly, test cells, quality control, and operations. Our goal is to give the intern a meaningful learning experience while interning with us. Depending on the dynamics of the Company while interning, you may spend all or a portion of your time in one or more of these areas.
Essential functions and responsibilities include:
Job duties are assigned by the area Supervisor which may include tasks that would include, but not limited to:
• Engine disassembly
• Engine cleaning
• Engine inspection
• Engine Assembly
• Collect and prepare data for various Operation projections
• Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design and implementation plans
• Conducts basic office functions as needed, such as data entry and file management
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
• Basic understanding of planning principles
• Specific knowledge relating to aviation, airport operations and management, etc.
• Competency in various computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office and Internet
• applications
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Motivated self‐starter able to work independently
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Flexibility and desire to work on varying aviation planning projects
