What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide - Full Time position at Covington County Hospital?
The Dietary Aid follows diet plans to prepare healthy meals for patients and residents in healthcare facilities. Their main duties include collaborating with Cooks and Dietitians to build menus according to patients' dietary restrictions or allergies, cleaning the facility's dining hall and kitchen areas and teaching patients about proper nutrition and wellness habits to follow.
Experience preferred. Full time; 6 AM - 6 PM; Rotating Schedule. Health, Dental Vision Insurance; 401(A); PTO/STO; Short term/Long Term disability.
Dietary Aid duties and responsibilities
- Follow Dietitian meal plans pertaining to each individual patient to ensure proper health
- Maintain knowledge of agency rules, medical protocols and certification requirements
- Keep dining areas and kitchens clean and sanitary
- Operate some kitchen equipment as needed
- Cleans floors by sweeping and washing using appropriate supplies and equipment daily after each meal service to ensure that State sanitary codes are met
- Empties waste receptacles and disposes of waste properly to comply with State sanitary regulations
- Cleans areas used for preparing, serving and cleaning food and food service equipment after each meal to comply with department protocol
