This is a Heavy Duty Parts business and has very little carry-over knowledge with any of the other industries adjacent to ours, however any experience working counter sales or looking up parts in catalogs/online will reflect positively on any candidates
Responsibilities:
- Handle cash, credit card, and other purchasing transactions
- Operate the electronic and paper cataloging system to retrieve up to date parts information;
- Operate the store point of sale system (karmak) to search for parts, customer accounts, and to invoice and pull orders;
- Effectively communicate features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers;
- Provide exceptional customer service to all store customers;
- Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude as well as professional conduct and appearance at all times;
- Assist customers with their parts questions and needs, either in person, or over the phone
- Pull and prepare inventory orders for customer pick up or delivery
- Assisting customers
- Ordering/restocking parts.
- Deliver to customers as needed.
- And all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Able to sit in a vehicle for an extended period of time when delivering to customers
- Able to safely lift and move up to 100lbs by yourself repeatedly throughout the day
- Parts knowledge and experience preferred
- Mechanic or parts sales background a PLUS
- Able to adjust and adapt to changes
- Must pass background and drug screen
- Computer Literacy, knowledge of word and excel
- Strong understanding of parts required
- Fleet Sales experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license
