Abstract Production Specialist I

Summary

This position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an abstract network that is capable of meeting quality expectations while providing competitive pricing for our clients. Monitoring, and maintaining statistical metrics on abstractor turn time, coverage, pricing, and quality ensuring the abstractors are meeting their contractual agreements.

Essential Functions

* Establish and maintain external abstractors.

* Ensure external abstractor quality meets all aspects of viability.

* Maintain external abstractor statistics and external abstract quality metrics on external abstractor network.

* Negotiate prices with external abstractors.

* Ensure external abstractors meet and maintain NTC contractual compliance.

* Maintain the integrity and eliminates non-conformities with external abstractor network.

* Review morning report to show orders in area and coordinate with manager regarding priorities.

* Coordinate with Finance to ensure timely payment to abstractors and counties.

* Process all work that is returned by the abstractors physically, including walkins and certified copy orders.

* Assist with the creation and maintenance of Policy Tech procedures.

* This position will have KPI metrics based on the number of tasks completed as well as the ability to maintain an acceptable error rate.

* Ability to work overtime and weekends if needed.

* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to prioritize multiple objectives to meet client deadlines and department goals.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics driven environment.

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education

* High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

* No previous experience required.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a climate controlled indoor administrative office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate, depending upon the office or meeting location.

Physical Demands and Activities

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to communicate. The employee frequently is required to remain stationary. The employee is frequently required to move about the office, operate a computer and other office machinery, such as calculator, copy machine, and computer printer; rarely position self to maintain files; rarely moves boxes weighing up to 30 lbs. Close and distance observation required with ability to observe objects at close range in presence of glare or bright lighting (e.g., computer screen). Must possess the

ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand and have the ability to interact with external and internal stakeholders.

NTC Non-Exempt Operations Position

The amount of work that needs to be accomplished to service the needs of NTC clients is subject to fluctuations. Due to these fluctuations, NTC may require its employees to move from an area where work is slower to an area where their services are more needed by NTC.

The willingness of personnel to assist in or move to other areas within NTC, when needed, is an important factor for the company to meet the needs of our clients.
