What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry level telecommunications technician position at COW Communications?
Install and troubleshoot Cat5/6, coaxial, and other low voltage cabling
Install and service business telephone systems, security camera systems, overhead paging/ speaker systems, Wifi access points, TVs and other low voltage devices
Must be punctual, dependable, reliable, and work well with others.
Must have a good work ethic and a good attitude. Must take their job responsibilities seriously and handle themselves professionally.
Customer service oriented, must be comfortable interacting with customers in person, over the phone, via email, etc.
Must be willing to work in ceilings, attics, crawl spaces, etc. as the job requires
Must be able to lift 75lbs, climb ladders and be willing to use basic power tools
Must be willing to travel out of town as needed
Must be able to work as a part of a team or alone unsupervised
A basic familiarity with technology and technical concepts is required (computer literate, can create Word documents, excel documents, PDFs, etc. Knows how to connect a computer, understands basic computer functionality.)
Valid SC drivers license. Reliable transportation is a must
