Job Objective: A Lead Driver Recruiter proactively sells driving opportunities, screens applicants, and makes employment offers to qualified drivers for Cowan Systems, LLC in approved geographic regions and in accordance with company guidelines, DOT regulations and Federal and State Employment Laws. A lead also uses gained expertise to support fellow colleagues within the department to meet established goals. This includes but is not limited to training, collaborating with multiple audiences, being an agent for change, and working through team escalations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain and meet individual goals set by manager as well as contribute to department/team goals
- These include screening and interviewing of qualified driver candidates
- Answer incoming calls and inquires generated from various sources such as ads, internet, job search engines, etc.
- Guide candidate in screening process to determine eligibility from information supplied to the company according to standard criteria
- Sell Cowan Systems, LLC by functioning as a positive “first contact” and using creative ways to sell the benefits of driving for Cowan
- Make hiring decisions based upon DOT regulations and company standards
- Maintain an applicant database and provide reports as requested such as sourcing reports, applicant tracking and other recruiting based data
- Schedule and confirm orientation start dates with applicants and notify pertinent Cowan Systems, LLC personnel of orientation attendees.
- Maintain superior customer service to multiple audiences, to include drivers, peers, and internal departments
- Assist with training new teammates
- Act as a subject matter expert regarding established processes and proactively advocate for process change
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and timeliness
- Exhibit exceptional behavior, always demonstrating adherence to Cowan’s core values
- Ability to work routinely on-site at a Cowan facility

Employee Benefits:
- Hourly Pay: $24.50-$26.50 per hour commission (Depending on knowledge & experience)
