General PurposePlans the daily work assignments of Street Maintenance Crews.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDetermines work procedures, assigns work schedules, and expedites workload of street crews.Oversees quality control of work performed.Supervises the mowing of City rights-of-way.Enforces safety procedures, City policies, and work rules.Coordinates plowing and sanding of streets as necessary.Issues written and oral instructions.Ensures work orders are completed in conformance to policies and procedures. Investigates customer complaints relative to policies and procedures.Ensures the maintenance, accountability and general upkeep of tools and equipment.Keeps supervisor informed of work progress, equipment issues, customer complaints and personnel issues. Assists supervisor with safety and operational training.Assists supervisor with personnel evaluations.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Peripheral DutiesResponds to emergency, after hour, call outs.Required to be on stand-by.Serves as a member of various committees, as needed.Other duties as assigned.
