General Definition of Work
Seasonal, temporary job consisting of the routine supervision of summer camp activities and other summer activities and programs throughout the Coweta County Park System. Duties include oversight, organization, and support of a variety of activities and programs.

Essential Functions
Implement and design activities for participants.
Supervise and engage participants during daily scheduled activities.
Ensure the safety of camp participants at all times.
Performs other related duties as required.
Encourages and promotes a culture of excellent customer service.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of recreation principles and practices; ability to cheerfully and skillfully interact with, supervise and lead children; ability to exercise sound judgement; ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions; some knowledge of first aid methods and necessary safety precautions to be used in recreation work; ability to perform duties in an outdoor and active setting; ability to communicate ideas effectively in both oral and written formats; ability to prepare reports; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants, parents, associates and the general public.
Education and Experience
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements
This work requires the frequent exertion of up to 10 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires speaking or hearing and using hands to finger, handle or feel, frequently requires sitting and repetitive motions and occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms and tasting or smelling; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work occasionally requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions and exposure to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. gymnasium, outdoor).
