Position: Property Care Technician
Status: Full-time
Salary: $18-23/hr. DOE
Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 8 am - 5 pm
About this role: The Property Care Technician is responsible for ensuring a well-maintained and clean environment for both the personnel and visitors of Cowles Real Estate properties.
What you'll do:
- Clean and polish all brass, including hand and door rails.
- Clean all inside glass and outside ground floor and pavilion windows.
- Water all properties outside plants and trees. Remove all weeds.
- Stock restrooms.
- Clean and wash sidewalks, front porch, and revolving door areas.
- Receive and rotate stock.
- Paint.
- Daily grounds pick up across portfolio.
- Keep loading docks orderly and clean.
- Cleaning all property exteriors as needed.
- Rotate, plant, and monitor new annuals every spring.
- Assist in unit turns.
- Light patching and painting of units and common areas,
- Deliver mail as needed to the SR building and step in to back up to the main mail delivery employee. (i.e., vacations/PTO)
- Assume Day porter duties if the janitorial vendor is out sick or on PTO.
- Liaison w/ the Janitorial Vendor for the portfolio.
- Walk with the designated Rep. anywhere from weekly to monthly.
- Coordinate onsite walks with/ the janitorial vendor.
- Walk each building of the Spokane portfolio to combine a list of active issues with janitorial and then review with the vendor and the director of operations monthly.
- Order Janitorial Supplies as needed w/ supervisor oversight.
- and other additional duties performed as needed
What you'll contribute to our team:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
- One to three months of related experience and/or training;
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Minimal customer interaction is required in this position. The ability to perform duties is limited to the ability to interact with co-workers and give and receive instructions.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
