Pay $20-25/hour
Hours: 7.5 hours per day, usually 8:30 am- 5 pm
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically capable Boating Cycle Tester to join our team in testing watercraft systems and components under various operating conditions. This role involves conducting rigorous performance and durability tests on boats or hybrid watercraft to ensure safety, efficiency, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and test boats or marine vehicles across a variety of water conditions.
- Execute structured testing cycles for performance, endurance, buoyancy, balance, and mechanical integrity.
- Record detailed observations and metrics (speed, resistance, wear, etc.) during each test cycle.
- Identify and report potential design flaws or safety concerns.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to refine product features based on test results.
- Maintain testing equipment, boats, and safety gear in proper working condition.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all testing meets regulatory and company standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience with boating, marine sports, or product testing preferred.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, cycling mechanisms, or marine propulsion systems is a plus.
- Physically fit and able to perform extended tests in various weather conditions.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Boating license or safety certification or equivalent (preferred or required depending on jurisdiction or willing to get one)
Preferred Skills:
- Background in boating, powersports, engineering, marine technology, or physical sciences.
- Experience with data logging tools or performance testing software.
- Comfort with drafting test reports and communicating technical findings.
