About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Packaging Expert to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing packaging projects and troubleshooting packing and shipping issues at our manufacturing facilities.
Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee packaging projects and troubleshoot packing and shipping issues
- Confer with Engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information
- Select materials for packaging based on durability and cost effectiveness
- Create improvement plans based on input from the Manufacturing floor and data analysis
- Evaluate and adapt packaging to respond to field problems, sales feedback and customer concerns as required
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering w/0–2 years experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Creo, etc
- BASIC knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- BASIC machine shop experience and strong mechanical aptitude is a plus
