Job Title: Production Assistant (Part-Time) - WSOC TV
WSOC TV Charlotte is looking for a Part-Time Production Assistant who will be integral in all phases of commercial and studio production.
- Operating cameras and teleprompter on newscasts
- Acting as floor director during live broadcasts and taped segments while operating studio cameras
- Ensuring lights and robotic cameras are operational and replacing batteries in anchor mics and IFBs. Making sure the studio is ready.
- Reviewing upcoming newscast rundowns for camera blocking and working with directors to sort out any issues
- Must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Required to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Other duties assigned as needed
- Ideal candidate would be working toward a degree in related field
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- College degree
- Experience with on site production
- Attention to detail is a must in the execution of each of the roles as one of the final gatekeepers before our product is transmitted over the air
- Willingness to learn new and challenging roles
