Certified Medical-Surgical Nurse Opportunity
At Cox Medical Center, we seek an experienced and skilled Medical-Surgical nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Job Summary:
- The Medical-Surgical nurse is responsible for managing the care of adult or geriatric patients experiencing general medical conditions or surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient condition and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor vital signs and adjust care plans accordingly
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment
- Minimum 2 years experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
- Experience working with IV drips highly preferred
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Additional Details:
- We require all travelers to be fully vaccinated against the flu
- A minimum of 100 miles away from the facility is required
- Previous employees of CoxHealth must have been gone for at least 2 years
