Data Analyst (2024-8325)

• $43 - $53 per hour (Paid Weekly)

Cox Communication is searching for a talented Data Analyst either remotely (Cox market) or in Atlanta, GA! The Data Analyst is responsible for measuring and assessing the effectiveness of departmental processes and procedures. They will ensure quality processes and programs are being utilized and are effective by developing performance measurements and communicating performance relative to standards, and ensure optimal efficiency by monitoring work quality; delivering reports, statistics and recommendations for improvement.

Cox Communications is a leading provider of digital cable television, telecommunications, and home automation services. With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, Cox Communications offers high-speed internet, digital telephone, and home security services to residential customers and businesses. We're currently looking for talented individuals to join our team.  

This is a 4-month W2 contract assignment with the opportunity for contract extension or to transition to a permanent, full-time role based on performance and business needs.

• Monday - Friday; 40 hours per week
• This role is open to fully remote candidates located within a Cox Market, or hybrid candidates located in Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities of the Data Analyst:

• Serve as a contact for customers or client groups, internal and external to the department, for data research, document, spreadsheet and report compilation and design
• Review report usage and requirements with client groups to ensure relevance and alignment with customer needs and documents report enhancements
• Understand taxonomy of Knowledge Management and related systems
• Maintain, review and/or analyze data files, tables and reports for inconsistencies, troubles shoots data integrity issues and develops cleanup strategy if needed
• Compile or import data from various databases into specialized software, databases or tools in order to generate reports to support various departments
• Provide and conduct trend analysis to support business operations; may include budget modeling
• Write reports, create charts, presentation and timelines in support of department or business operations
• Identify, research, and resolve discrepancies in analytical procedure or cross-functional methods
• Interpret operational requirements for inclusion in studies and analysis
• Provide recommendations for operational efficiencies and process improvements and assists in policy development to support change initiatives
• Demonstrate working knowledge of applied mathematics, assessment Instrument design & performance assessments
• Display working knowledge of applied survey sampling and statistics for all modes of social science data collection for such statistical methodologies as: univariate and multivariate distributions, data modeling using regression, analysis of variance, and the generalized linear model
• Conduct business impact analyses and validation studies and market research through all stages: concept formulation, definition of metrics, determination of appropriate statistical methodology, research evaluation, and final research report
• Perform estimation of variances, the calculation of standard errors, and imputation
• Appropriately apply weighting of various sampling and data collection designs
• Apply quantitative methods of social science data analysis
• Utilize survey research literature, methods, and processes
• Support capability development within the delivery organization; including reviews, gap assessments and work to source and deliver strategies.

Qualifications of the Data Analyst:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics
• Strong Tableau skills required
• Working knowledge of AWS data tools
• Strong analytical thinking skills
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
• Strong understanding of digital analytics
