The Maintenance Technician position is a full-time employment opportunity within the Commercial Property Management division of Mitch Cox Companies known as Cox Property Management.
Position Purpose:
This position requires but is not limited to the following objectives: maintenance of commercial facilities; interface with clientele, tenants, and contractors; and be able to troubleshoot problems and complete work orders under tight deadlines without compromising quality of work.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general routine maintenance on commercial buildings.
- Process and complete work orders.
- Perform electrical lighting maintenance, including bulb and ballast replacement on wall pack and fluorescent tube lighting.
- Troubleshoot and repair water heaters, sink fixtures, and toilets.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose minor HVAC problems.
- Patch, repair, and paint drywall.
- Maintain interior and exterior doors and door hardware.
- Conduct roof inspections and maintenance.
- Install and remove real estate signage.
- Complete general labor tasks and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to troubleshoot and work under tight deadlines
- Experience with hand tools and power tool equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of life safety and fire suppression systems
- Knowledge of commercial plumbing fixtures and valves
- Knowledge of basic electrical skills.

Compensation
The approximate pay scale for this position is between $19 - $23 per hour, based upon experience and qualifications.
