What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Science Intern - Summer 2025 position at Cox?
While performing the data-driven insights and analytics, you will be providing information and measurement metrics around marketing strategies and their impact on our customer base. This impact is measured by the actions that our customers to those marketing initiative. In this role, you will be performing analysis on campaign results, campaign strategies for our clients and for customer segments, including forecasting and recommendations of what marketing actions worked by building statistical analysis and reporting capabilities. You will develop a strong professional network with the Cox family of companies, which includes Cox Communications (residential and business communications), Cox Auto Group (Auto Trader, Manheim, Kelley Blue Book), Cox Media (Television and Radio stations) and others.
Specific Duties :
- Learn how to develop data-driven insights.
- Learn how to extract, transform, and load (ETL) the data for analysis.
- Learn how to perform data cleansing, exploratory data analysis.
- Learn how to work with different data sources to be able to produce the requested analysis.
- Identify and utilize opportunities to increase efficiency and improve processes.
- Influence critical business decision through analysis and visualization techniques.

Intern / Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.

USD 23.65 - 35.48 per hour
Compensation :
Hourly base pay rate is $23.65 - $35.48 / hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and / or an incentive program.
