Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Legal and Risk Department leadership team and reports to the Administrative Director of Risk and Insurance. Duties include but are not limited to: answering phones and triaging calls, answering the department door, meeting coordination and preparation, maintaining meeting minutes, policy and procedure writing/editing, website content maintenance, resource coordination, creating and filing routine reports, database maintenance, supply and equipment ordering, and monitoring department-wide compliance requirements.
Additionally, this role is responsible for processing automobile claims, paying and processing invoices, facilitating medical record requests for claims and litigation, facilitating legal holds, developing the Legal and Risk On-Call schedule, responding to BBB and AG complaints, and processing Certificate of Insurance coverage requests. The Administrative Assistant will also serve as a resource to leadership staff and other departments in tracking down information and resources.
The Administrative Assistant will assist the leadership team in being organized and effective. To be successful in the role, the Administrative Assistant, must be attentive and assertive while always being polite and professional. The individual must be proactive and resourceful with a genuine desire to meet the needs of others and help the department succeed.

Education

- Required: High School Diploma
- Preferred: Associates or higher degree
Experience

- Required: At least 1 year prior customer service experience
- Preferred: Prior administrative/office coordinator experience
