Job Summary
The Manager of CoxHealth Radiology departments provides leadership, direction and management. The incumbent provides oversight and management of operational, regulatory, and business processes across the department. The position leads the department in facilitating change, fostering innovation and self-development to achieve excellence in operations, patient safety and quality. The Manager supports the department mission, oversees planning and goal setting, budget preparation and adherence, and meeting all performance standards.
Job Requirements
- Policy and procedure development.
- Financial budget preparation and analysis.
- Communication of system goals, standards, and strategic priorities with staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
- Ability to monitor and compile data and disseminate results to multiple levels of leaders and employees.
- Must be able to initiate and understand research related to projects; proficient in Microsoft office.
- Management experience that includes supervisory, budget, and patient care activities in either inpatient or ambulatory patient care settings.
- Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, fax, scanners, printers and copiers.
- Experience with voice recognition systems.
- Experience with RIS, HIS, and Picture Archiving Communication System.
- Knowledge of products, manufacturers and distributors of Medical supplies and equipment.
- Skilled in Change Management.
- Promotes leadership and accountability with direct report/supervisors.
- BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- For managers that will oversee more than one modality or Technologists specializing in another modality one or more of the following will be required:
- ARRT – R
- ARRT – CT
- ARRT – CI, CV, VI
- ARRT – MR
- ARRT – NM OR NMTCB
- ARRT – S or ARDMS (ABD or OB/GYN or RVT)
Education
Required: Graduate of an accredited program in a field of diagnostic imaging technology.
Advanced Imaging Registry in MRI, CT, US, NM, IR or approved prior multi-modality supervision experience.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree with a focus in Radiologic Sciences, Health Care Administration, or related field.
Experience
Required: 3-5 years as a registered radiological technologist with 1-2 years of the 3-5 years being leadership experience as a supervisor or other job experience in leadership/management.
