Enters the ICD-10 diagnosis codes into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for new patients based on referral information received from facilities, physician information, and patient history. Pre-Admission coding with the primary diagnosis and co-morbidities will allow the admitting clinicians to know the focus of home health care.

• Preferred: minimum six (6) months experience in office setting.

• Ability to demonstrate good judgement and communicate well, especially with clients, families, physicians and field staff.
• Requires ability to function independently and be detail oriented and organized.
• Must work well in fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing conditions.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
• Required: Certificate for Coding Specialist or one year experience with medical coding.
