Job Summary
The Exercise Physiologist I is responsible for the assessment, development and delivery of all phases of care in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation setting. This role is responsible for development of the individualized treatment plan, exercise prescription and patient education. The Exercise Physiologist I provides expertise and safety for all physical activity and exercise domains with specific focus on therapeutic delivery and intervention in secondary prevention settings.
Job Requirements
- Education
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in exercise or fitness-related discipline
- Experience
- Preferred:
- Experience in a fitness setting and providing exercise prescriptions according to ACSM guidelines and ability to teach group exercise classes
- 12 months relevant experience with secondary prevention populations or =120 hr. Internship in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.
- Experience with recognition and interpretation of 12 lead and exercise ECG.

- Strong communication and people skills and positive attitude
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and projects at one time and ability to work under pressure
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
Required: ACSM EP or AACVPR CCRP within one year of hire
Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days
Required: ACLS must be obtained within 90 days
