Job Summary
-
The Hospital Scheduler is responsible for duties essential to the success of the Preadmission and Surgery departments. Duties may include, but are not limited to: preparing, assembling, checking, delivering patient charts for the day of surgery or procedure, scheduling Preadmission appointments, and checking in patients as they arrive for their appointments. The Scheduler is also responsible for clerical duties related to patient’s charts and record keeping within the department. This role is vital in promoting a safe surgery experience for the patient and an efficient workflow for the hospital.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

1 year related experience in healthcare is strongly preferred

Ability to skillfully interact with nursing and multiple ancillary departments.
