Job Summary
- Lead Phlebotomist is responsible for the collection and processing of blood and other specimens. May be responsible for performance of selected point of care laboratory tests. Responsible for assisting Section Head with phlebotomy training and assigned supervisory duties.
Job Requirements
- Education
- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience
- Required: 6 months phlebotomy experience
- Skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
- Proficient in using computers and computer systems
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Preferred: Certified as a Phlebotomy Technician from a nationally recognized laboratory certifying agency
