Job Summary

- The Licensed Practical Nurse working in the Transitional Care Unit is responsible to provide direct care of the adult/geriatric patient experiencing prolonged general medical or post-operative recovery. The LPN provides care based on the patients’ needs, which includes medication administration, dressing changes, monitoring of vital signs and skin integrity, documentation in the medical record, and providing patients and families with support and education.

- Required: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Experience
- Previous nursing experience preferred

- Demonstrates effective knowledge of scope of practice

Licensure/Certification/Registration
LPN license and IV Certification active in the state of Missouri
BLS must be obtained within 90 days
