Provide improved patient care outcomes through effective orientation, evaluation, education, and ongoing development of all patient care staff. Act as a resource to all clinical staff, both licensed and non-licensed. Address system issues to facilitate the provision of quality efficient care. Lead the department in facilitating change, fostering innovation and self-development to achieve excellence in operations, patient safety and quality. Excellent communication skills, leadership ability, time management, and problem solving skills required.

Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Preferred: Master’s degree in Nursing or healthcare-related field

Required: 3 - 5 years previous hospital or nursing management experience

Represents the departments on several process improvement, standardization, and regulatory committees

Operates strategic plan by setting and monitoring key performance measures and goals

Determines scope of care or service in relation to values, mission, and strategic plan of the institution

Assist with developing their departments’ long term plans.

Working knowledge in human relations, customer service, inventory management, and budget management
