Overview of Department
The oncology support services department focuses on meeting the needs of patients seeking care in our outpatient oncology clinics. Our team consists of healthcare professionals who collaborate to address patients' barriers to care, advance our cancer program, and provide a great experience for patients and staff alike.
Job Summary
The Oncology Nurse Navigator is responsible for developing, overseeing, and coordinating care for assigned oncology patient populations. This navigator works collaboratively with all hospital and oncology service areas, the cancer committee, and sub-committees to provide effective care planning and provision.
Job Requirements
Education
Required : Graduate of an approved nursing program.
Preferred : Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing, business, or a health-related field.
Experience
Required : Three years of clinical experience in oncology or medical / surgical nursing.
Skills
Strong oral and written communication.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to develop and maintain databases and spreadsheets.
