Role Summary
The Medical Assistant III / Clinic LPN plays a vital role in our healthcare team by providing administrative and clinical support to healthcare providers. This role requires a strong foundation in clinical procedures, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to healthcare providers, including scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records.
Conduct clinical tasks, such as taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and drawing blood.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Graduation from a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy / physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship (effective 9 / 1 / 20).
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Certification or Registration from a CoxHealth approved certification program : CMA / AAMA, RMA / AMT, CCMA / NHA, NRCMA / NAHP, NCMA / NCCT, RMA / AAMP.
