Job Summary
The President is responsible to the Cox College Board of Trustees and assumes responsibility for all aspects of the college’s operation, and its place within the academic community. The President is Chief Executive Officer of the College and is the official advisor to, and executive agent of the Board. He/she serves as a liaison to the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, students and other constituents of the College.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Earned Doctorate in an appropriate field (e.g. nursing, higher education administration, health sciences). Licensure in nursing preferred.
Experience:
- Documented record (at least 5 years) of successful senior administrative experience in an academic institution with preference for experience with health science programs.
Skills:
- Steady, calm leadership presence through all interactions
- Effectively communicates in a clear manner that garners trust
- Ability to work collaboratively with key business and educational partners
- Ability to comprehend and to clearly articulate a commitment to the mission and distinctive operating features of a specialized college sponsored by a health system; must be comfortable operating in a matrix environment.
- A person of integrity; open minded; transparent; a team builder who is approachable and flexible.
- A “student centered” professional who can unite students, faculty, staff and community to rally behind the College’s mission.
