Performs respiratory therapy treatments, procedures, and test, including floor therapy, oxygen administration, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and basic pulmonary function procedures. Works in the areas of the hospital as directed by the supervisor. Is able to evaluate and chart patient response to therapy. This position will not extend beyond participation in or graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program.

Required: Enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Program AND Successfully completed Pharmacology Course AND Completed one clinical semester in Respiratory medication/therapeutic modalities

Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program

Provides care as appropriate to age of population served.

Proficient in safely providing all routine and emergent respiratory modalities.

Able to assess patients and provide patient care per protocol.

Provide accurate and appropriate electronic documentation.

Provide accurate and appropriate education to patients, students and new staff.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Required: Must obtain BLS within 90 days of hire
