Job Summary

The supervisor is responsible and accountable for providing high quality and effective service to the patients, physicians and staff of CoxHealth through proper use of manpower, facilities, supplies, equipment, and other resources. This includes all activities related to the delivery of radiological services and imaging modalities, from procedures to the development of policies.

Education

Required: Graduate of an accredited School/Program of Radiological Imaging ARRT - R
-
Preferred: Bachelor in Management or Imaging (X-Ray, CT, MRI, IR, NM, US etc.) or Completed Leadership Development Core Courses through CoxHealth LDI

Experience
-
Required: 3-5 years as a registered radiological technologist with 1-2 years of the 3-5 years in managerial experience (to include Charge Technologist, Lead Technologist or other job experience in leadership/management)

Skills
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.

Ability to monitor and compile data and disseminate results to multiple levels of leaders and employees.

Must be able to initiate and understand research related to projects; proficient in Microsoft office.

Management experience that includes supervisory, budget, and patient care activities in ether inpatient or ambulatory patient care settings.
-
Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, fax, scanners, printers and copiers.
-
Experience with voice recognition systems.

Experience with RIS, HIS, and Picture Archiving Communication System.

Knowledge of products, manufacturers and distributors of Medical supplies and equipment.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

For supervisors that will supervise more than one modality or Technologists specializing in another modality one or more of the following will be required:

ARRT – R

ARRT – CT
-
ARRT – CI, CV, VI

ARRT – MR
-
ARRT – NM OR NMTCB
-
ARRT – S or ARDMS (ABD or OB/GYN or RVT)

BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
