This position will work in the production department assembling our Vinyl Anaerobic Chambers (see website for example) or associated products. These chambers are used by microbiologists all over the world to study bacteria. Notable research uses: Cancer, Coronavirus, Human Digestive
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the high quality production of our Vinyl Anaerobic Chambers while meeting or exceeding provided production times.
- Maintain 5S
- Interact effectively with and facilitate the actions of people within support areas such as Manufacturing Quality Control, Purchasing, Production Engineering, etc.
- Work independently in an organized manner provided by management
- Clean and package product for shipment
- Pull accessory parts to ship with product while maintaining order accuracy
- Mechanical assembly on bench top and inside enclosed chambers
- Basic fabrication of parts (involves machining)
- Possible Radio Frequency Machine operation
- Perform other duties as directed by management that may include tasks in another department (potential for cross-training), maintenance functions (manufacturing and other departments) and general tasks needed for company operations.
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED
Required Expertise:
- The ability to lift 2lb. objects repeatedly during a work shift. Ability to lift 60lb. objects.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- The ability to stand 80-100% of work time.
- Possess the ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing practices.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools
- The ability to work well with a variety of people
Desired Skills & Knowledge:
- Hands-on mechanical assembly experience
- Experience with LEAN Manufacturing principals
