Job Title : Quality Assurance Technician

Primary Responsibilities
Be proficient in reading calipers, micrometers, blueprints, tape measure. Responsible for assuring that all material received, and all products shipped meet company and customer specifications. Perform visual and / or dimensional audits of parts throughout the plant at various stages of production process. Interprets drawings and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability of products. Compiles and evaluates data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. Alert necessary management personnel of any non-conforming material. Issue required inspection sheets to the floor. Do all paperwork required and maintain quality records. Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work area. All other job duties as assigned.
Core Competencies
Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.
Must be capable of using various hand measuring devices such as micrometer, height gauges, and others as required
Must be familiar with various manufacturing processes
Must be experienced in reading blueprints and some GDT.
Must have the ability to generate reports and do required paperwork
Must be able to meet physical requirements of the job
Must be familiar with standard computer programs, emails, excel, word.
Must be familiar with Auditing
Must be familiar with ISO 9000, PPAP's, AS9100.
Must be familiar with CMM's and some Programming.
Computer Software Experience
Excel, Word, Access
Education Required
High School Diploma
Experience
1-2 years relevant work experience
